The White Dress: Official Ms. Corporate America Photo Shoot Completed!

So what does every Queen have in common? Royal photo shoots! Yes! These opportunities are royal because photo shoots allow the photographer to capture the best of you as you portray different emotional experiences. A picture is worth an entire book and your official crown photo shoot sends a powerful message to the world about who you are.  This is one of the fabulous pageant perks that I mentioned in a previous blog. Every woman that walks away with a crown will have the opportunity to do a queen photo shoot which will allow them to creatively convey what they stand for while marketing their pageant system.

So you know that you will have a photo shoot. Now the big question pops into your head. What am I going to wear?? Eeeeek! You are filled with anxiety because this is one of the most important decisions that you will make as a titleholder (Ha! I am half-way joking).  But you must realize that what you wear can provide clues about your ambitions and emotions; not just externally but internally.  A study in 2012 from Northwesten University examined a concept called “enclothed cognition.” Researchers define it in their report as “the systematic influence that clothes have on the wearer’s psychological processes,” meaning what your clothes are saying to you , not about you. And how they make you feel. Interesting! Now your apparel is important but the color is equally, if not more, important.  Your color choice can impact your mood and how you are perceived by others. There is a psychology of color!  For my official Queen photo shoot, my goal was to choose a color that reflects wholeness, beginning, growth, light, and peace. I wanted to set the tone for the days ahead by projecting new possibilities and endless opportunities. Got it! I’m experiencing an amazing transformation in my life and white is the perfect color to reflect what I am aiming to manifest. Sooo......scroll down to get a preview of a few of the white dress photos. What are you seeking to manifest in this new season? Choose your colors to help set the mood for your AMAZING future!

The White Dress Transformation

According to color psychology, below are different thoughts about the associations and meaning of white. A white dress personified exactly what this new season represents for me.

·      White is totally reflective, awakening openness, growth and creative.  You can’t hide behind it as it amplifies everything in its way.

·      White is associated with light, and goodness. White means safety, purity, and cleanliness.

·      The color meaning of white is purity, wholeness, and completion.

·      White is a color of protection and encouragement, offering a sense of peace and calm, comfort and hope, helping alleviate emotional upsets. It creates a sense of order and efficiency, a great help if you need to declutter your life.

·      White may indicate a completion of a cycle in your life – you may find you have a desire for white clothing or white in your surroundings at a time when you are moving in a new direction in your life.

White is the color of new beginnings! It is the blank canvas waiting to be written upon. White opens the way for the creation of anything the mind can conceive. I’m screaming to the Universe that I’m ready! I’m ready to create a more purposeful and meaningful life that allows me to use my experiences in order to enhance the lives of others. Are you ready for you new beginning? It’s ready for YOU.
